Claire laughed loudly at Gill’s comment, so she waddled back to his side, wrapping her hand around his arm, beginning to walk again. Claire had to think about this question before she spoke. “Well, I wouldn’t mind either!” Claire laughed at the mental image of being able to dress up her daughter, almost like the baby dolls she was forced to play with in childhood. Claire stuck her tongue out at Gill. “But! I could see you playing with a little boy~! You know, flying him in the air, playing superhero!” Claire sighed thoughtfully, before mumbling, “I wish we could have both!” Then, she laughed. She wasn’t even sure she was ready for one!
(Sorry for not replying sooner! I’ve been addicted to Homestuck.)
Chuckling, Gill leaned closer to his pregnant wife. “I don’t know if I’d be able to deal with twins.” He was just coming to terms with having one child. Two? He didn’t want to think about that anymore.
Gill was snapped out of his thoughts when his house came into view. He was happy to be home and out of the cold. Opening the door for Claire, he stepped in after her.
“Let’s get ready for bed,” he said, stifling a yawn.
*can do nothing more than raise an eyebrow at it*
Claire shivered as the wind lifted her hair off of her back, so she leaned on Gill’s shoulder. “I can’t believe it’s The last month of summer… It seems like just yesterday it was just beginning!” She said, letting a small laugh out.
For some reason, something possessed her to take Gill’s hand from her waist, and run in front of him. Claire faced Gill leaning over. She lightly poked his stomach, laughing. “You know… In a few months, my stomach will be huge! It’ll be like this~” She held both of her arms out in front of her middle, showing how large and round her stomach would become. Claire smiled softly at Gill, wondering if he got tired of how strange she was.
Gill smiled at Claire’s antics. Same old Claire, he thought. Chuckling, he spoke out loud, “Yes, I know. You’ll also be waddling around like a penguin towards the end.” He couldn’t resist that.
As an afterthought he added, “What do you think the baby’s sex will be? I don’t mind either way, do you? Though I can see you having fun dressing a girl up in-“he paused here, thinking of the right word to use, “-cute frilly dresses.”
Ooc: I didn’t, haha. I noticed other people were having trouble with asks too. Maybe you should make your reply into a text post and we can carry on the rp like that? There’d be no worries of…this happening again.
(I’m glad you think so! I found the -s kind of confusing sometimes.)
Gill nodded and grabbed her hand, suppressing a yawn himself. He was glad Claire chose to go home.
As they walked out the door and onto the street, a cool breeze caused Gill to detach his hand from his wife’s and wrap his whole arm around her waist. With a frown on his face and mild irritation in his words, Gill spoke, “It’s cold again tonight.”
-A thoughtful look crossed Gill’s face, eyed glancing up a the clock.- Well, it’s a bit late….perhaps we should just go home and sleep? I know you’re tired from today’s….excitement.
((askfgdfjg this is my way of improvising, hope it’ll do? and yesterday wasn’t your fault and i had to go to bed early so /shrug
also i’ve been wondering….if you’d mind switching the rping style? like regular story format, with quotations and no -s. it’s fine if you don’t want to or anything but yeah hahaha))
Why, Claire is! c: Her rper doesn’t even look to see if her husband wants to go to the festival.
Hah. Stupid wifi in the woods.
Hahahah it’s totally fine, I understand. But I can’t rp right now :( I have an early start tomorrow because my family’s coming over (again). It’s already 1 soo heh
((Sorry for not answering sooner, my room is still being painted. Hahaha 2 primer coats and 2(possibly 3) coats of the top is gonna take a while.))
-He watched as many emotions crossed his wife’s face. When she gripped his hand, he ran his thumb across it soothingly.-
Of course we can. -His voice was soft, comforting. Gill put aside his nervousness for the moment, Claire being much more important.
He stood up slowly, reaching for the jackets that he’d thankfully thought of in his hurry to get here. Handing Claire hers, he shrugged his on.- Would you like to talk to Doctor Jin more or would you just like to leave now?
(Hahahah well mine had its alright parts too!)
-Gill’s breath hitched. It was confirmed. Pregnant. He had a pregnant wife.
After listening to Claire ramble on, the only thought process he could come up with was: abortion?!-
Claire! -his voice was firm, bordering on angry. Frowning, he toned it down.- Claire, never do something like that even if I didn’t want it. Which I do, -he finished by looking into her eyes.-
And well, we really should have seen something like this coming. The pill isn’t that effective on its own..-he stood up and sat next to Claire, wrapping an arm around her waist.- And yes, I do want kids, -even if I’m nervous about my parenting abilities, he added as an afterthought.
He really just wanted to get out of there. He’d never been so emotional in his life. It’d ranged from shock, fear, nervousness, happiness, the works, in just minutes.-
(It kinda sucked for the most part :( How was yours?)
-Gill could only stare at Claire, a nervous look on his face. All the questions she was asking Jin were things he’d been wondering about, too.
Pregnant? He certainly didn’t see this coming. Though he should have, really. Gill wasn’t sure if he was quite ready to be a father. Sighing, he pushed that thought aside. Whether he was completely ready or not, it was probably going to happen.
Gill’s expectant start joined Claire’s, waiting for Jin to give them an answer.-
(Hahaha, I’ve no idea either…)
-Gill held his wife in his arms, his usually stoic mask taken over by shock. Pregnant?!
A laugh bubbled forth from his mouth, blue eyes staring down at his unconscious wife.- You moron, -he murmered affectionately.- Why would you be afraid to tell me?
-As if suddenly coming to his senses, Gill’s head snapped up. His most likely pregnant wife was lying on the floor, unconscious. Hurriedly, but gently, he picked Claire up bridal style. How long would it take to get to the Meringue Clinic? This definitely warranted a visit to Jin.
[Gill reluctantly agreed. He really should have expected those girls would do something like this. Still, he would be wary. Brushing a lock of hair out of his eyes, he turned his attention back to Luna.]
I haven’t spoken to a lot of the residents here for quite a while. [He gets distracted again, reminding himself to definitely talk to them sometime soon. He may not be much of a people person, but he could at least greet them.]
C-Claire?! Are you alright? -Gill shot to his wife’s side, kneeling beside her on the floor. What was going on this time? Everything was starting to add up, but he wasn’t going to make any assumptions until Claire told him anything.-
Do you need to go to the clinic or- -Gill cut himself off.- Claire, you know that if there’s something you need to tell me, you can.
-He tried to look as calm as possible, keeping his voice comforting and steady.-
You mean Candace? [He realized he hadn’t spoken to the girl in a long time.] I’ll have to visit sometime soon.
[One of Gill’s eyebrows quirked up, now very curious.] A surprise from both of you? I don’t know whether I should be excited or worried, [he responded dryly. The two of them mixing was probably not a good thing.]
-His lips back to hers once more, Gill continued, the kiss growing more intense by the second. For a moment, he pulled away again and pressing their foreheads together. His breathy voice spoke,- So exactly how tired are you? -He added a sly grin for good measure.-
